By Ing Sopheap,
I recall asking my readers to join me on my blogging adventure in my introduction post. But in the blink of an eye, it’s already time to say goodbye. So, I’m writing this very last article with nostalgia.
Actually, before applying to the Voices of Youth (VoY) program, I’ve read some blog posts on UNICEF Cambodia’s Facebook page. I admired those writers a lot and wanted to write like them so bad.
I never thought that I would be given such an amazing learning opportunity. I’m really thankful that I became a part of the VoY program.
I’ve gained plenty of eye-opening experiences and met 10 wonderful fellow blogging trainees. I will miss the feeling of looking forward to joining the next training session. Because I knew that I would be learning something new in every one of them. Plus, I have made new friends (though I’m quite introverted lol) since all of the interns were warm and friendly. Sometimes, we also exchanged some thoughts and I got to listen to many of their amazing ideas.
I admit that there were also some stressful moments, especially when the deadline was approaching and I couldn’t come up with any good ideas for my blog post. However, sister Sorita (my trainer) has always been patient, understanding and supportive in guiding me. Thanks to her, I could manage to cope with those problems eventually. Her encouraging words and constructive comments have improved my confidence in my writing skills.
I really recommend to those who like writing or are interested in blogging, to take the opportunity and apply to the program.
