In just a blink of an eye, another year is over. Have you spent 2018 well?

Well, maybe you’re in your 20s or something but you haven’t achieved anything yet. Maybe you think that your life has been a mess because you’ ve been through many difficulties, regrets, failures and pain. Perhaps, you realize that you wasted a lot of time last year because you missed a lot of chances, and you often went back on your words from the beginning of the year.

However, if you didn’t spend last year well, let’s just forget it. A new year has started and it’s time to make a difference. It’s time to start a new life with new goals and new accomplishments.

Here are a few things that can help you to spend your new year to the fullest and make your life happier and more peaceful than before.

1. Give up useless habits

How many hours a day do you spend on your phone playing games and checking social media? Now, I am not saying that games or social media are bad. But if you spend too many hours them, you can become addicted. As a result, you waste a lot of your precious time instead of going after your goals without even realizing.

I believe that the reason you missed many chances and encountered many failures both at school and at work is because you allow bad habits to eat up much of your time.

Now, it isn’t too late to start over. Please reschedule your time and give up the habits you think are counterproductive. Let me tell you that life isn’t only about eating, sleeping, facebooking, and playing games. It should be more than this. Give more meaning to your life by giving up your useless habits.

2. Break out of your comfort zone

It’s undeniable that staying in your comfort zone makes you feel comfortable and happy. However, if you always cling on to what you’re used to without the will to take risks or try something new, your life will always be the same as it was last year. So gather all your courage to try something new. Although you’ll be a bit anxious and tired at first, you’ll be preparing yourself for the new step in  your life. Again, it isn’t too late to get out of your comfort zone.

3. Stop procrastinating

Procrastination doesn’t yield any benefits for you. In turn, it only gives you regret because you will miss out on some good opportunities in your life. Have you ever failed the test or almost failed because you procrastinated reviewing the lessons when you had time? If yes, you should admit that procrastinating isn’t a good thing to keep up.

Actually, you can’t stop time but you can stop yourself from procrastinating. Make no more excuses and do the work when you have time.

The mentioned points above are only the guiding points that you should consider if you want to spend your new year more usefully and productively than before. However, maybe most of you already have your own New Year’s resolutions such as to keep fit, be healthier, save more money, etc. No matter what your New Year’s resolutions are, the problem is  how you are going to work on them and achieve them. If you’re trying to find answers to this problem, you can check some tips from some blogs websites that I have known so far such as Lifehack and GAIAM.

No matter how old you are now, you aren’t too old to start your life again. As the new year is coming, it’s the best time to start a new life and make a difference.
