Have you ever thought to yourself: why do you have so many interests that you can’t even decide what you’re really good at or what you want to pursue?
Well, congratulations, you are not alone. I also have too many interests on almost every subject that exists in this entire universe.
My name is Sakada. Currently, I’m about to be a third year student in Electrical and Electronics engineering.
I’m only doing one degree right now, but in my heart and mind, I love almost all the majors in school and subjects outside of school. If I ever get a chance to study all of them, I will take that chance without any hesitation. But I’m human, so unfortunately, I still have my own limitations.
That said, let me briefly walk you through two of my biggest interests.
First of all, it’s blogging. Yes there’s nothing better than expressing your own mind through writing, and having people read and comment on it. Sometimes, you can even make somebody’s day better.
The best part is when people can relate to the problems that I had written about. They would leave comments giving me feedback and support, which really makes me happy. This is also one of the reasons I applied for the Voice of Youth blogging programme, which is why I am writing to you now.
Ok, I’m not going to talk about this for too long… now let’s move onto my second biggest interest.
It is Graphics Design. No, I’m not a professional or a student of any design class, but I love it. I love the way that those professional designers can make things look good, unique, and classy.
In my own free time, I love playing around with design applications like Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. It’s like magic. With a few clicks, I could change or make things beautiful.
Besides practicing with graphic design, I’ve also learnt some basics of web design. I know some basic HTML and CSS. Oh and in case you don’t know, HTML is not a programming language (professional programmers will laugh at you if you say it is).
There are many more interests that I could talk about all day long. There are things like politics, movies, technology, books, food, and maybe life too 😊.
With my many interests, it helps me to have deep conversations with lots of people. I used to think it was a problem to have so many interests, but now I’m glad. It has helped me socialize better than I used to and make quality friendships.
